What: Open to school aged children in the Newburyport area.
Ages 6-18 (grades 1-12): singing, dancing, poetry, acting, juggling, musical acts, etc.

NO LIP SYNCING!

Pre-registration is required. Performers must sign in at the stage with a parent or guardian starting at 10:00AM. The showcase will begin promptly at 12 Noon.

Rules and Regulations

This is a non-competitive showcase of children’s talent in Newburyport and the surrounding area. Children in grades 1 - 12, ages 6 - 18 who are residents or students in the Newburyport Schools and the immediate surrounding areas will be allowed to participate. Participants may perform music, dance, poetry, acting, etc. as a soloist, duet, trio, etc. or small band. They MUST provide a CD, and/or musical instruments, props, costumes. NO COMPUTER GENERATED CD ALLOWED, PLEASE USE ORIGINAL RECORDINGS. All children must pre-register with a parent or guardian. Children are to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while participating in this event.

All participants will be limited to one song during the event. They will be assigned a time in the program and will not know until 11:00AM on the day of the production. All participants must show up between 10:00AM & 11:30AM on July 26th. Children who do not show up will be cut from the program.

Yankee Homecoming, Inc. and the City of Newburyport are NOT responsible for participants in this showcase. Parents assume all responsibility and safety for their children and any siblings in attendance.

Yankee Homecoming will provide a stage, full sound system, and publicity for the event. THERE IS NO FEE CHARGED THIS YEAR BUT ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A SIGNED PRE-REGISTRATION FORM FILLED OUT AND SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE EVENT. DEADLINE IS Friday, JULY 23rd.
