YANKEE HOMECOMING’S FAMILY DAY AT MAUDSLAY STATE PARK
SATURDAY, AUGUST 2nd, 2008 10:00AM - 4:00PM
Rain or shine, come one come all! A full day of family entertainment.
Free Parking, all day long
Please donate what you can at the "Toll Booth" at the entrance to the park.
Proceeds will be used to defray costs from Family Day as well as other Yankee Homecoming events.
Enjoy a fun filled family day. Many activities are free or charge a small fee for services.
A variety of food is available for purchase or you can bring your own. Come, enjoy and celebrate the Yankee Homecoming Festival.

ChIPS (CHILD IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM)
Admission: Free!
This is the largest, most comprehensive child identification program in our area. Your child will be fingerprinted, have dental impressions make, and video taped, all to take with you. Do not miss this opportunity.
MYCHIP (Masonic Youth Child Identification Program) has identified more than 226,284 children since its inception and it continues to assist families today. The program provides tools to help law enforcement authorities find a missing child during the most critical hours, and a permanent identification record in the event of a tragedy. The Masons of Massachusetts donate MYCHIP resources to make this service available to the public. All the identifying materials are given to the child's family.
OPPORTUNITY WORKS FOOD BOOTH
Provided by Opportunity Works, a workshop for developmentally disabled adults. This non-profit organization donates their time to support Yankee Homecoming.
All proceeds from the Opportunity Works Food Booth are used to help fund the Yankee Homecoming Events which are free to the public.
FIRE SAFETY SAFEHOUSE
Admission: Free!
Newburyport Fire Department will join us, teaching fire safety in the home. The children are invited into a “home” and taught what to do in case of fire. We are very excited to have this safety event with us.
JUJUBEE THE CLOWN

A professional clown for many years, JuJuBee will be creating balloon sculptures for the children throughout the day.
KITE MAKING

Learn how to assemble and fly your own kite in the front field.

Pony Rides by J & J Ponies of Groveland

J & J Ponies has been in business for over 10 years. Providing safe child entertainment at parties, functions, and local events. Our ponies are not only our business, they are our friends. For over a decade, Wayne From Maine , has been performing and recording music for children. The Wayne from Maine show is a 50-minute adventure through various musical styles designed for the young and young at heart. Volunteers are invited up on stage to play various percussive instruments or sing into a wireless microphone. There’s never a dull moment.

The Annual Teddy Bear Parade and Competition
Admission fee: $1.00
Join "Dick Kaplan Excellent Dixieland Band", an eight piece traditional jazz/swing ensemble, as they march the entrants with their bears in front of the stage.
Stop by and register at the Teddy Bear Booth. All ages compete for prizes and ribbons. Each entrant will receive a goody bag with great treats and raffle tickets for prizes.
