The painting that graces the 52nd Yankee Homecoming Souvenir Program Book is “Tour of Newburyport”. The artist, Michele Jata, is an oil painter who works in the style of traditional realism. She has been showing her work throughout New England for the past fifteen years and is a member of the Newburyport Art Association. Her subjects range from landscapes and seascapes to flowers and architecture. She also does commission work such as house portraits.
